Madden 26 Guide: How to Claim Every Single Free Player in Ultimate Team
What is good, fellas? Hope you guys are all having a great day. Today we are talking about how to claim every single free player in Madden 26 Ultimate Team. This guide is not meant to be rocket science. Honestly, you can use it as a checklist—that is kind of its intention. Of course, if you ever find yourself short on currency to complete sets or snag players off the auction house, you can always buy Madden 26 coins from trusted sellers to give your squad a quick boost, but the focus here remains on earning everything for free.
With that said, let's break down every single source of free players in MUT 26 right now.
Section 1: Solo Challenges – The Best Stuff EA Has Added This Year
Weekly Spotlight Tokens – The Best Thing EA Has Added
Go into Solo Challenges and grind your weekly tokens. This is probably the best thing EA has added into this year's game for sure. These tokens can be exchanged for free champions in the Sets tab (more on that later).
The best ways to earn Weekly Spotlight Tokens right now include:
Ultimate Legends – Complete the weekly solos
Collector Series Flashbacks – A Monday content staple
Team of the Week – Get these done if you haven't already
Legends – Additional weekly spotlight solo tokens
Important note on Collector Series: It looks like this Monday might be the final release of Collector Series. If that is the case, then those big Collector tokens we have been collecting are going to have some form of a use. EA hasn't told us for sure, but looking at the solo challenges, it does actually make some sense for it to be the end. We have no more stars once we get to the end and no more tokens to be earned.
That said, I don't think EA is going to end Monday content in April. That just doesn't make sense. Maybe they switch it up and give us something else on Monday. Maybe we are done with Monday content for good. We will have to wait and see.
Team Builders – Free 95 Overall Heroes
You guys can earn a free 95 overall Team Builder Hero. Now, I am not going to lie—these Team Builder Heroes aren't very good anymore. Earlier on in the year, this was one of the better budget beast promos we had. At this point, it is not necessarily the greatest. But get them done if you guys are really balling on that ultimate No Money Spent budget.
Team Diamond Solos – Auctionable Players
Team Diamond solos are also really good. They are called the Team Diamond Summer and Spring solos (or Fall and Spring—honestly, check the exact name in game). They give you Team Builder auctionable players.
Anytime we can get auctionable players, that is going to be a win. It is not often EA gives us cards that we can sell. So when they do give us players that we can sell, you have got to take that as a win right there and make sure you are actually grinding those.
Epic Challenges – Free Blaze Packs and Coins
We also have our Epic Challenges as well as Tempest and Turmoil. I am not going to lie—I stopped grinding my Epic Challenges this year. But free Blaze packs, free coins—yeah, that is technically free players to a certain degree. So go in there and grind those things out.
Section 2: Season 8 Field Pass – Five New Free Cards
Outside of Solo Challenges, we have our Season 8 Field Pass. Five new free cards dropped during Season 8. Let's break them down.
The Five Free Season 8 Cards
Ted Ginn (WR) – Actually a really good wide receiver. We are kind of talking top ten range for his position. Definitely worth adding to your lineup.
Allen Faneca (OG) – Must upgrade. Solid interior lineman.
Byron Murphy (CB) – Solid card but has some issues that keep him out of the top ten at his position.
Keanu Neal (SS) – Interesting strong safety. He does not get Deep Zone KO. He gets both Deep Out and Deep In Zone KO, which you can put both of those on to equate to Deep Zone KO. But it is just a waste of an ability bucket when we have those thresholds being met.
Junior Seau (LB) – Solid card but does not get Mid Zone KO. That is a glaring hole that keeps him out of the top ten at his position.
Regardless of their flaws, grind through your Season 8 Field Pass. Leveling up is definitely important in this year's game. It is how you guys progress.
How to Level Up Your Field Pass Fast
Leveling up is not very challenging, but it is important. Focus on these three things every day:
Promo XP – Complete promo-specific objectives
Weekly Challenges – These give large XP chunks
Dailies – Do them every single day to progress
If you do not know, you can buy the tokens via the Season Store, then toss them over and upgrade the cards. We posted a video this weekend talking about the fastest way to level up, but the short version is: stay consistent with your dailies and weekly challenges.
Section 3: NFL Draft Promo – Current Limited-Time Content
The last area for free players is the NFL Draft. This is our current promo. Not that many free cards, I will not lie. Here is what is available right now.
Welcome Item Players – Trent McDuffie and Emeka
You get two Welcome Item players: Trent McDuffie (DB) and Emeka (WR). I think Emeka is the better of the two. You will get both of these cards at Part Three of the promo. But as of right now, you can only pick one. And you actually cannot max out that card as of today, which is just brutal work from EA. I will not lie right there. I just don't really get it. It honestly is what it is.
You have to pick and choose there.
Online Event Player – Zach Thomas
The Online Event Player is Zach Thomas. The Zach Thomas card is really, really cheap. He is not bad—good on a theme team. But he is the cheapest event player we have had in some time. If you want Zach Thomas, he was going for around 800k yesterday, which is crazy low for the first day of a new event player. So there is that.
CPU Event Player – Tuli Tuipulotu
Our CPU Event Player is Tuli Tuipulotu. That card is kind of mid. I would not grind for him. Even if you are on a Chargers theme team, he does not get any of the good abilities. So no real reason to grind for him.
I am not going to say he is the worst event player we have seen in some time, but I am actually convinced he is the worst CPU event player we have gotten in some time.
My Recommendation for the CPU Event
You can grind and beat the CPU event if you want. But what I would actually recommend is that you guys just hold off on opening that pack until Part Two or Part Three of this promo goes live. Whenever we get a new offline event player, just pick that one as the choice. I think that is probably the best route to go about that, because Tuli is absolutely terrible.
Section 4: Sets – Where to Exchange Your Spotlight Tokens
The last thing we have is the Sets tab. This is where you can exchange your Spotlight Tokens. These things will refresh as we get 99 overall champions.
Here is the refresh schedule to keep in mind:
Ultimate Legends – Refreshes on Saturday. You can get two more.
Collector Series – Refreshes on Monday.
Flashbacks – The 99 overall Flashbacks set refreshes in 20 days. That is good right there because it means we will have additional free champions to be earned. This is very important when we have content running all the way through June and into July.

Final Thoughts
That is how you claim every single free champion in Madden 26 Ultimate Team. The game is still very playable without spending money, especially if you stay on top of your weekly tokens and Field Pass progression. However, if you ever want to accelerate your team building or grab a specific player without the grind, you can buy Madden nfl 26 coins from MMOEXP, a reliable source that offers competitive rates and fast delivery to help you stay ahead of the competition.
